The following events are upcoming for the month of October/November.

ONGOING

Rosary – Tuesdays @ 6 PM in the Church; Saturdays @7:30 AM before 8:00 AM Mass

Confessions – Every Saturday, 3 PM-3:45 PM in the Church.

Pre Baptismal Classes – last Monday of the Month.  Please call Parish office to register.  Next meeting Monday, October 28, 2024.

Cans and Bottles – Ongoing.  Please drop off at Rectory Back Porch.  No glass!

Clothing Drive – Ongoing.  Please drop of at Rectory Back Porch.

Prayer Shawl Ministry – Due to the water damage in the Hall, all of our supplies (yarn, needles) were destroyed.  If you can donate materials or finished shawls, it would be appreciated.  Takes place the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 12:30 and 6:00 PM.   The next meeting will take place on December 10, 2024 at 12:30 and 6:00.

Eucharistic Adoration of our LordEvery Friday 6:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. in the Rectory chapel.

 

SPECIAL EVENTS

Naugatuck Ecumenical Food Bank – has a great need for canned MEAT (chicken, hash, SPAM, etc.) also hot and cold cereal, sugar, condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.), pasta, sauce, canned fruits and peanut butter.  Drop off boxes at all Church entrances.

Mass for Thanksgiving Day – On November 28th at 9:00 AM there will be a special blessing of ‘bread’ and each attending Mass family will be given a loaf to take home for their Thanksgiving Meal.

Free Thanksgiving Meal on Thursday, November 28th from 1-3 PM.  The meal will take place at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 210 Church Street.

Advent Program.  Our Parish will once again offer the Rejoice Program this Advent.  Rejoice! An Advent Pilgrimage into the Heart of Scripture, Year C program features daily reflections, prayers and weekly video reflections presented by Fr. Mark Toups and his friends, Rebecca Aboud & Fr. Patrick Riviere from Ascension Press.  Meeting time is Sunday mornings following the 10:30 AM Mass in the Parish Center.  For more information please call Joan Reilly (203.442.3132), Joyce Rosler (203.723.1528) or Marge Neary (203.228.9799).

Naugatuck Ecumenical Food Bank is asking parishioners for donations of 300 boxes of mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving baskets for local families.  Drop off boxes at all Church entrances.

RCIA/OCIA – Beginning December 1, 2024, RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) will be known as OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults.   Classes for RCIA/OCIA will begin in September.  More information to follow.

Gift card donations – St. Francis office is looking for donations of gift cards (Big Y, Walmart & Stop & Shop) to help support our Parishioners looking for help.  If you can donate, please put in wooden Collection boxes at Church entrances or at Parish Office (203-729-4543)
